We have worked with Mac Love from Art X Love on many stages of his @PLAY project. These fall into two groups

@PLAY GIS

Art x Love worked with University of Akron engineers to conduct a comprehensive daytime and nighttime walkability assessment of Akron’s University Park neighborhood. This data was collected using a custom-designed survey Art x Love developed along with the students, including comprehensive parameters for objectively evaluating roadways, sidewalks, structures, greenery, litter, visibility, and perception of safety. This data was shared with city and neighborhood leaders, and continues to inform neighborhood investment, public lighting, and placemaking initiatives across University Park.

@PLAY Akron

A comprehensive interactive art project that explores every Akron neighborhood, interviews residents, and produces collaborative art projects that bring diverse people together and encourage deeper community connections. Since 2017, @PLAY Akron has generated more than 120 murals and 50 placemaking transformations in collaboration with more than 10,000 Akron residents.
